At Grounded with Nature, our work centers on thoughtful care, steady presence, and creating safe spaces for animals and the people who support them. Each part of our work is connected, guided by animal welfare first and shaped by what is sustainable over the long term.
Animal Sanctuary
Our sanctuary provides lifelong care for resident animals who need safety, stability, and time. Animals come to us through rescue, rehoming, or carefully considered placements, and each is cared for as an individual.
Daily care focuses on:
- Safety and appropriate housing
- Physical and emotional well-being
- Routine, observation, and responsiveness
- Respect for each animal’s pace and needs
The sanctuary is not open as a petting zoo or attraction. Care here is quiet, intentional, and centered on the animals.

Equine-Facilitated Experiences
Through equine-facilitated experiences, we offer opportunities for reflection, grounding, and connection. These experiences are centered on presence rather than performance, and are guided by respect for both people and horses.
Sessions focus on:
- Awareness and observation
- Emotional regulation
- Non-verbal communication
- Creating space to slow down

Dangal Puppies
We have raised and placed a litter of Puppies, Dangals, with carefully screened homes. These placements are intentional, education-focused, and centered on lifelong commitment.
This work includes:
- Early care and socialization
- Education for prospective adopters
- Thoughtful matching based on lifestyle and experience
- Ongoing support when appropriate

Retreat Space
Our retreat space offers a way to experience the farm in a more immersive, intentional way. Guests are invited to slow down, reconnect with nature, and support the sanctuary through their stay.
The retreat space supports:
- Rest and reflection
- Respectful connection to the land
- Sustainability of the sanctuary’s work
A Connected Ecosystem
Each part of our work supports the others, creating a living ecosystem rather than isolated programs. Together, these efforts allow Grounded with Nature to remain responsive, grounded, and focused on what matters most: the well-being of the animals and the integrity of the space they call home.
Looking Ahead: Foster & Overflow Support
As our sanctuary grows, we are planning for future ways to support animals beyond our resident population. Once our barn is built, we hope to assist local shelters when they are at capacity by providing temporary housing and care for animals in transition.
Foster and overflow support may include:
- Short-term housing
- Basic care and observation
- Coordination with partner shelters
- Support during transitions
This work adapts to current needs and available space, always prioritizing animal welfare.
